On Monday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who won the election the day before.
Zelensky wrote about it on Twitter.
In the phone conversation, Zelenskyy wrote on Twitter, he noted Erdogan's personal role in continuing the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which is an important component of global food security.
"Cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey is important and effectively contributes to the well-being of our peoples and international stability. We will continue to develop it and work together to strengthen the security of the region, Europe, and the world!" the Head of State added.
In a brief statement, the Turkish president's office said that Zelenskyy congratulated Erdogan on his election victory and discussed developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war and regional issues.
