The U.S. leader recalled a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the G7 summit in Hiroshima.

"Just a few weeks ago, I was with President Zelensky in Hiroshima at the G7. I told him that we’d work with our partners to begin training Ukrainian pilots in Europe on fourth-generation fighter aircraft, including the F-16, so Ukraine can defend itself today and in the future," Biden said.

The president also noted that the United States and a coalition of 50 countries are working to provide Ukraine with "historic assistance." According to him, this will help Ukrainians "protect themselves today and in the future."

In addition, Biden said in his address to the graduates that they were joining the U.S. Air Force at an unstable time when Russia and China are challenging the world order. He added that alliances with many countries make the United States more resilient.

"And don’t think our adversaries don’t understand it.  That’s why they work so damn hard to try to split us," Biden emphasized.
